LUKAS Underpainting Medium 1 is a slightly yellowish but non-yellowing medium designed for mixing with fast-drying ground colours. It helps create smooth, even, matt-drying grounds with uniform porosity – ideal for oil painting.

This medium prevents uneven colour absorption and promotes a consistent painting surface. It also increases gloss and translucency while maintaining solubility in turpentine once dry.
