LUKAS Citrus Turpentine is a clear, high-quality solvent blend with a fresh citrus scent. It is ideal for thinning oil paints, preparing painting surfaces, and thinning most varnishes (excluding alcohol-based types). Best used for lower paint layers, it helps to make oil paint “lean” and ensures proper drying and adhesion. It is also suitable for cleaning brushes, palette knives, and palettes, as well as dissolving resins like dammar and mastic. Always work in a well-ventilated area when using this solvent.

Traditional oil paints cannot be diluted with water, so specialised solvents like LUKAS Citrus Turpentine are essential. The LUKAS solvent range is specifically formulated to meet the needs of oil painting, providing effective thinning and cleaning without compromising paint quality.
